Send a Lasting Gift and Support Believers

The Apostle Paul wrote to the believers in Philippi of his gratitude that they sent Epaphroditus with needed support for his ministry. The Philippians were able to send a lasting gift to Paul. When you provide material and resources to CSM Canada, you are in the same way providing support to Christian ministries throughout the world – which is a gift that lasts. The ministries CSM sends to are located in, and go to, places where we cannot. Because of this, they are vital to fulfilling the Great Commission to “Go, therefore, and make disciples of every nation.”

"I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.” Philippians 4:10

Picking up a few small boxes of materials does not seem like much. But all of those smaller donations add up. Together with the help from a large group of volunteers from coast to coast, CSM has been blessed to send 5.5 million pounds of resources to 17 countries since 2001. Our volunteers Canada collect the materials all throughout Canada. After that, volunteers in Hamilton sort and pack the books, then cram them into sea containers for delivery throughout the world. The impact stories we receive from recipient ministries are awesome. CSM’s mission makes a lasting impact. Because of you, there are libraries started in many countries from books donated here, in Canada, that serve many people.
We are thankful for and blessed by the ministries that we have impacted. We continually receive additional requests from not only these ministries, but also new ministries that have heard of the blessings that you have been providing.

You may not have books (click here to see some of what we need) or funds to constantly donate (you can donate online). Still, there are many ways in which you can be faithful blessing to these ministries:

Pray

Above all, pray for CSM Canada to continue our work in equipping missionaries throughout the world. Mention us to everyone you know so that more individuals can assist in the ministry;

Share

You can talk to people in your church, school, clubs, etc. about gathering materials to be sent overseas. When more people know about CSM, more people can share their books and resources. Contact the office if you are interested in having someone come and speak at your church about CSM. We are always in need of more materials to meet foreign ministry requests.

Volunteer

If you have a little extra time, volunteer to be a drop off center to collect material locally for us. We need transporters to deliver materials to our warehouse in Hamilton. If you are in the Hamilton area, consider assists with the sorting and packaging of resources for shipment. Find out more about how you can help on our Volunteer page here.

Donate

Once you have collected some materials, you can check our website for a searchable map, or list, of local people who collect for CSM.
Consider donating financially to CSM personally and/or mention to your church about having us listed as one of the outreach ministries to support. It is very expensive to ship oversea, and the cost increases every year. While all materials we send are donated, we incur shipping charges bringing them into our Hamilton warehouse. CSM is a duly registered charity with Canada and all donations over $25 are receipted. Donations can be made by mail, or online, details here.

We welcome anyone who would like to stop by and visit the warehouse to see how the ministry functions. We are always happy to speak at a meeting or church service about the CSM mission. You can contact the office to make the arrangements. So many of the things we do in life fade away, but Kingdom work does not! Please consider supporting CSM and send a lasting gift to those who are perishing without The Word.
