Container of Bibles and Books Distributed in Ghana
We received some most excellent news this week about the container of Bibles and books we sent to Ghana in late June 2024. Not only had it arrived, but distribution was taking place. We are always so happy to hear of people receiving their first Bible, so please join us in these adorable photos of some of the children in Ghana who received their own copy of God’s written word.
What’s also very exciting about the Bibles that were on board this container is that we’re told they’re making their hands into Muslims. Some local families have requested copies of the Bible in order to learn more about the salvation offered through Christ. Our God is mighty and rescues us from sin and death, no matter our background. What an amazing opportunity to serve Him in such a way!
Continued Work for Ghana
We have had the blessing of sending more than a few containers over the past years to MPNI, and they have always been faithful in distribution.
Sometimes it seems as though Ghana receives a great deal of materials from CSM and the other missions like ours. After all, this is the 47th container of Bibles and books we’ve sent to Ghana since 1994. The people of Canada and the upper US who’ve sent books to CSM have been a part of providing over 1.5 million pounds of materials to just Ghana alone.
The Joshua Project, which keeps a running record of unreached people groups, reports that there are still 20 unreached people groups in Ghana. Twenty seems like a small number, but that’s over 2 million people. Those are people in Ghana that have not heard the name of Jesus Christ. You can read more details from The Joshua Project’s report on Ghana here. We still have work to do in that beautiful nation!
Please join us in praising God for His provision and in praying that these Bibles and books are used to reach many in the country of Ghana. May He make these young people a faithful group in His service!
How Can You Help?
Are you eager to find ways to help CSM in a hands-on way? You can visit our Volunteer page to learn about how you can help spread the Good News by helping us get the Bibles and books into Hamilton and onto sea containers. It takes many hands to send a container of Bibles and books – would you consider using your’s?
We know not everyone can help in a physical way. Every single one of us though has been given an amazing spiritual gift – prayer! Thank you for your prayers for CSM and its mission, and the words of praise lifted up on our behalf. We know that the Lord uses our prayers and are grateful for every one. We work for His glory and the love of our brothers and sisters in the faith throughout this world.
