Our Mission

CSM Canada’s mission is to bring Bibles and evangelical literature to people in need throughout the world. Our desire is to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ to “…go and make disciples of every nation…”

For over 20 years, CSM Canada has worked to provide global missionaries and local evangelicals with much needed materials. We are blessed to have served over 17 nations with sending more than 5 million pounds of Bibles, commentaries, study books, educational materials and written supports. 

CSM Canada (then Christian Salvage Mission) was founded in 1994 with the record of John 6 in mind: we would gather up the fragments that nothing may be lost. Instead of fish and bread though, we work to collect used Bibles and evangelical literature from all throughout Canada. In many parts of the world, it is difficult, if not impossible, to buy Christian literature and Bibles. Meanwhile, in Canada we throw thousands upon thousands of Christian books, magazines, and other materials every year into the dumpster. 

Together with a network of volunteer area coordinators from all over Canada, we gather used Christian materials. The materials are shipped or driven to our Hamilton, Ontario warehouse. Volunteers sort and pack the materials into cardboard banana boxes. The banana boxes are then packed into 20′ sea containers and sent overseas.
