SECTION 1 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you donate or contact us, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our website, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

With your permission, and only with your permission, we may send you emails with our newsletters and occassional updates.

SECTION 2 – CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to donate or for information requests, you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

 

SECTION 4 – DONATIONS

The donations made directly via our webpage are hosted by CanadaHelps, Inc. Their security statement is as follows:

“CanadaHelps complies with the highest-level Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and has thorough security standards to protect oursystems and donor personal information against unauthorized access and use. This includes the security protections required by PCI compliance as well as specific procedures to keep donation information secure, private and in Canada. CanadaHelps is currently PCI 3.2 compliant, and takes the necessary steps to stay up to date with the current levels of compliance at all times. We have implemented Extended Validation Certificates so Canadians see the green in our website URLs and can rest assured that an external auditor has confirmed we have met the rigorous security standards required to obtain the Extended Validation Certificate Please contact us at info@canadahelps.org, if you wish to receive our current PCI DSS Certificate of Compliance.”

SECTION 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
